Sri Sri Radha Krsna Temple which is initiated by the management of Hare Krsna Ashram  Johor is a traditional Indian temple with modern architecture. It will not only house a temple for the worship of Lord Sri Krishna, but will also become a center for disseminating the profound message of the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam, delivered in a modern context for the highest benefit of the people. Lord Sri Krishna, through His timeless message in the Bhagavad-gita, and His endearing pastimes in the Srimad-Bhagavatam has shaped the intellectual, cultural and religious mindscape of people for millennia. It is humanly impossible to fully comprehend and estimate the contributions of Lord Sri Krishna to mankind. It is an attempt to acknowledge and celebrate His divine blessings to this world and it is the aspiration of the devotees to create a temple for Sri Krishna in Malaysia and proudly place Krishna on the world mindscape.

Srila Prabhupada, in a lecture in Bombay said that constructing a nice skyscraper temple for Krishna is also a Krishna conscious vision. “This is Krishna conscious vision. ‘Oh, there are so many skyscrapers. Why not construct a nice skyscraper temple of Krishna?’ That is Krishna consciousness.” In another lecture, Srila Prabhupada explained how our tendencies can be utilized for Krishna in order to purify our material activities. He said ‘If you have got some money, don’t use it for constructing a big skyscraper building. Better you try to construct a very nice temple for Krishna’s situation. That is proper use.’ The purpose of constructing a temple is to help everyone make spiritual advancement. This project is meant to bring everyone closer to Krishna.

Once established, the temple aims to bring about awakening among Indians and showcase a nation that is not only full of talent, creativity and energy but also adorned with exalted values and character through various activities held at the temple.
